Philanthropy – Sheikh Hassan Enany’s Charitable Work

Sheikh Hassan Enany comes from a family well-known for its significant contributions to the national development of Saudi Arabia. He has continued this legacy in his personal and business ventures supporting over 300 charities worldwide. In the 1980s, he financed the building of the Hassan Enany Mosque, one of the great landmarks on the coast of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He also continues to support the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research in Saudi Arabia.

Further afield Sheik Hassan Enany and his family have supported medical research and science.  Among other medical initiatives the Enany Group has supported, in 1995 he funded the set up of the computer-mediated stereotaxic radiosurgery (CMSR) unit at Stanford University Medical Center, one of the first of its kind in the world.  As well as treating cancer, the radio surgery technology has been used for treating Parkinson’s disease.
